Advice on use of video conferencing and GDPR

ICO ADVICE ON THE USE OF VIDEO CONFERENCING

Many companies have started using video conferencing to communicate with their employees, clients, and partners. This has become pretty normal and now key to their operation. The ICO has issued some very useful advice on how to stay safe.

If you are an employer, you should review your GDPR policies. Most importantly you should review your Employee Privacy Policy to ensure this covers the use of this technology and that you have the consent of the people involved. You should also review your Data Retention and Information Security policies to include the use of this technology and ensure you keep the data safe. If you are a subscriber, please contact us if this applies to you and we’ll update your policies for you.

If you are concerned please contact us anytime to discuss.
